Organize IT Recap: Organizing Your Home, Healthy Eating

February 25th 2007 Recap 2 comments

Organize IT recap for 25th February 2007.

  • As I am currently on a refreshingly long break from work, I’ve finally had a bit of time to really clean, de-clutter and just generally organize the home. I’ve been browsing around for a few tips and ideas and I came across a site called Real Simple, which has a selection of professional articles on the subject. They also publish a magazine, it’s just a pity I can’t seem to get it in the UK (anyone know otherwise?).
  • Another site I came across this week is Meals Matter (via Lifehacker) which has a great selection of meal ideas, including suggestions for quick snacks and full recipes, all with relevant nutritional information. Of particular interest is the healthy eating section and the food diary, both are very useful if you plan on eating better.
  • Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas for organizing laundry? I currently have the unenviable task of washing, ironing and putting away laundry for two people on a daily basis, and as you can imagine, it’s quite a challenge to stay on top of it. Any feedback on this issue would be great, and hopefully I will be able to post about it in the near future.

Reader discussion

I’ve seen Real Simple magazine in Borders in Oxford, if you live near one they usually have enormous magazine departments with loads of foreign magazines. If you’re in London Selfridges has a big foreign magazine section too.

I’m enjoying your writing, keep it coming! Great to see more UK bloggers on GTD etc!

You can subscribe to Real Simple for overseas delivery to the UK. It takes about 6 weeks to get here though. I enjoy it but a lot of the content is very US specific - tried and tested for example. Beautifully designed.
