Huge List Of GTD & Productivity Sites/Blogs

A couple of weeks ago I did my top 10 GTD & productivity sites/blogs, so it was only natural I would end up bringing together all the sites I have bookmarked into one handy list (over 100 at the last update). If you feel I have missed a site out then please leave a comment.

Last updated: 11th July 2009 (ongoing, official announcement soon).

Dead blogs
I deliberated over whether to include blogs that havn’t been updated in a while but though the sites below may not have any fresh content, they still have a large archive of interesting content to trawl through. If you feel the site is still active then let me know and I will move you out of the list. Also, if the site has a line through it, it is down completely and will likely get removed during future updates.

Hi, that’s a huge list! I’m going to spend some time going through each and everyone of those sites you highlighted :) I just started a personal development site a few days back and am looking to scale it up gradually. Would be honored if you could drop by and give me some feedback…

Great list. Together with the list from Zen Habits it would probably make the ultimate resource directory. Please add my own site, How to Wake Up Early. Thanks!

I’m finally reading this online and am able to comment! This is a tremendous list – thankyou for sharing it. I have noticed that the number of great blogs that go stagnant is on the rise – good job policing the list of those!

  20. James says:

Thanks for the comment Dwayne. I’m going to have to work through the list again soon, I too have noticed an increase in stagnant blogs.

  21. Nick Grimshawe says:

Wow! Thanks for the great links. There is a ton of research material here and some great ideas. I will be a little busy for awhile.

  22. John Chandler says:

Thanks for this list. I have a fairly new blog called Creativityist which focuses on developing practices to allow us to be creative. GTD is one of the core principles we spend a lot of time on.

  23. Summy says:

Good list. Thanks for including my site.

  24. Rafal says:

Thank you very much for including me on you list. Great to be included here.

  25. Adam says:

Thanks very much for the link, James! Just seeing LiveWorkBalance on the same list as some of these other blogs is a huge motivator to keep up the good work.

  26. Grey says:

Would it be impolite to suggest my own blog?

  27. Rekobeko says:

Ridiculous list. I have my set of GTD things TO DO, I do not need to go and spend valuable time visiting and reading through all these links. Thats anti-GTD. Just learn the methods, apply them to your life in the simplest, most transparent way and GET THINGS DONE. C’mon.

  28. James says:

C’mon Rekobeko, this is purely a list of productivity sites. A compilation, nothing more. If you want something to read or you’re looking for a few interesting sites then this list will help you. Why does it have to fit into a GTD mould?

  29. Charlie says:

Coming in from Twitter, answering your question regarding quality vs. quantity. You’ve got the paradox of choice thing going here – too many blogs, too many options, where do we start? Fewer would definitely be better.

The compromise is to categorize the blogs. For instance, Lifehacker is great for tech hacks, whereas Dave Seah is great for introspection and reflective discussions of productivity (just to give two examples).

As far as adding interesting blogs, I’d choose Lateral Action, they do great stuff there. Also, check out Tools For Thought by Andre Kibbe.

I appreciate all the work you’ve done here. It’s not at all easy keeping up with a list of sites like this. Great work!

  30. James says:

Thanks for your suggestion Charlie. I will be really shaking this list up in the near future, hopefully using categorizing.

  31. Gary says:

Hey, thanks for putting this all together. Great information and a great list at that!
