The Productivity, GTD And Lifestyle Design Twitter List

July 30, 2008  Miscellaneous

A while ago Problogger asked readers to submit their social media profiles. The result was a list of over 500 Twitter users. This resulted in a big bump in my number of followers, so I thought why not do something similar for productivity, GTD and lifestyle design fans? It should prove to be a great opportunity to connect and communicate with like minded people.

This is a guest post by Chrissy Scivicque of OfficeArrow.

Ok. I’m freaking out. I’m moving from one side of the United States to the other in less than thirty days. Is it possible? Of course! The real question is: can I make the big move and be organized about it? Or will I end up carrying garbage bags of clothes with me on the plane, wondering if I left my most valuable possessions in a closet I forgot to empty. To help me handle this move, I’m writing this article for my good friend James (who happens to be on his honeymoon while I’m stuck in this purgatory). Hopefully, by outlining the steps that need to be taken, others can benefit as well.

9 Tips For Becoming A Better Listener

This is a guest post by Tage Aaker.

Many times, when people think of listening they don’t equate it with an arduous task. I would say that most people simplify the process down too much, and miss many of the important facets of tuning into your counterpart. In fact, to become a good listener, it takes a lot of hard work, patience and attentiveness. Below are my nine tips to achieve that. These aren’t the answers to becoming the best listener, but practicing these ideas will help you communicate with others on a day to day basis. Feel free to add to the list, or bring up counter points. I’m open to anything.

I’m Getting Married!

Hello everyone. As previously mentioned, this weekend I am getting married and will then be on a mini honeymoon (the main one will be in a few months time). As a result my time will be quite stretched (my wedding speech alone is proving to be very time consuming) and I won’t even be around for the next few days.

However, don’t think I will be leaving all of you faithful readers without fresh content! I hope to line up a few guest posts from my favorite bloggers and commentors which should keep you going and I will have some pre-prepared posts of my own too. You can already get a taste of what to expect with Wednesday’s post by Shanel Yang covering whether you are simplicity-inclined or productivity-inclined. It’s also worth mentioning that I will be publishing my new ebook before the end of the month and seeing as August will mark the second year of Organize IT expect a couple of announcements regarding that, too.

To conclude, thankyou to everyone who reads this blog and leaves comments, and for giving me loads of encouragement over the last year. See you soon!
