Organize IT Recap: Websites For Research, Holiday Clutter

June 16th 2007 Recap 1 comment

Organize IT recap for 16th June 2007

  • I feel I had to post this tip from Unclutterer because it is so simple yet so clever. If you are on a long holiday and you are building up a large collection of pictures, leaflets, maps and guides, that can take up a lot of space. So why not post them back home?
  • This site is a really interesting look at how cars fare in crashes and even includes videos as demonstrations. It is very interesting to see how you car compares to others.
  • The first part of my post in the Self-Help Myths series on confidence created a bit of controversy. I’d be interested to talk some more about it so please leave a (constructive) comment sharing your views.
  • A lot of people use Wikipedia for researching stuff, but what about other sources of information? The Online Education Database has a detailed list of other websites you can visit for researching purposes.

Organize IT Recap: 80/20 Rule

June 9th 2007 Recap 1 comment

Organize IT recap for 09th April 2007

  • If you havn’t heard of Behance yet, then go check out their site. Besides having some very cool looking tools they also now sell Moleskine products. Smart business move ;)
  • Another interesting looking tool is mini card post-its. Check out this post over at HD BizBlog for interesting suggestions on how to use them.
  • Seeing as I have been ranting about the whole 80/20 rule it makes sense to see what else in your life you can apply it to. Scott Young has the answer and applies it to such things as food and RSS feeds.
  • Don’t forget you can now advertise on Organize IT. Check out this page for all the latest details if you are interested.

Organize IT recap for 02nd June 2007

  • This is a neat list of things you can do to make your offline life easier. While there isn’t anything on this list that will radically change your life, it does cover some interesting areas that people are prone to neglect.
  • This is a fascinating article about why bad habits aren’t always so easy to break and it doesn’t always revolve around lack of motivation.
  • 26 reasons what you think is right is wrong is another interesting article and further proof that we should always keep an open mind on matters.

Organize IT Recap: Body Language, Free Time

May 26th 2007 Recap 0 comments

Organize IT recap for 26th May 2007

  • Lots of Organize IT related information to start this recap off. Don’t forget you can now advertise on the site for a measly $5 a month. Go and check out this page for more details if you are interested.
  • I’ve finally added a search box! It’s on the sidebar so try it out.
  • I’ve made the RSS full post again. I changed it to only have summaries of posts just to see how successful it was but I think it’s better when it displays the entire post. If you havn’t already subscribed to it, please do. I’ve set myself a target to meet by the end of the month :)
  • In the next few weeks I am going to add a lot more Clutter 101 articles. In the meantime you really have to check out this site and the concept of a landing strip in your home. There are plenty of ideas there to check out.
  • This is a pretty definitive list of ways to improve your body language. After looking at this list and thinking back to my last interview, there is certainly room for me to improve :)
  • I’ve talked about how to use your free time in a previous post but this post on Lifehack.org by Leo of Zen Habits is a great accompaniment. I may have to revise my own article in the near future!
